ABOUT THE MASTER'S DEGREE
The academic master's degree aims primarily at preparing professionals for higher education teaching and academic research. It must be completed within a maximum period of 24 months.
The academic master's degree at PPGO FOP/UPE, one of the first in Brazil and a pioneer in the Northeast and NORTH regions of the country, has been functioning since 1972. Currently, it has 2 areas of concentration (CTBMF and Dental Clinic with an emphasis on restorative dentistry/dental materials, endodontics, stomatology/oral pathology, and pediatric dentistry) and 4 research lines.
Areas of concentration:
-Maxillofacial surgery and traumatology;
-Dental Clinic with an emphasis on restorative dentistry/dental materials, endodontics, stomatology/oral pathology, and pediatric dentistry).
Research lines:
-Determinants of health and disease process;
-Study of the biocompatibility, biofunctionality, and biomechanics of materials used in health;
-Study of operative and therapeutic techniques in dentistry;
-Synthesis of evidence in health
