DOCTORATE

The Graduate Program in Teacher Training and Interdisciplinary Practices (PPGFPPI) at UPE Petrolina, at the Doctoral level, whose proposal was drawn up by the faculty members in 2022/2023, meeting a demand from alumni and society itself, in view of the current conditions in the low levels of teaching and learning of children and adolescents attending public schools in the northeastern semiarid region, was approved in July 2023. The Doctorate course – recognized by the Ministerial Order No. 2,149, of December 26, 2023 from the Ministry of Education - will expand the continuing education of teachers to work in basic education and, not dissimilarly, in higher education and non-school spaces. Additionally, there has been the improvement of the education degree courses at UPE Petrolina, many of which have been in existence for more than fifty years and are widely recognized by society.
