Prof. Dr. Maria Tereza Cartaxo Muniz

She has a degree in Pharmacy from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (Federal University of Pernambuco) (1985), a master's degree in Biological Sciences (Physiology) from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1990) and a doctorate in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology) from the Universidade Federal de São Paulo(Federal University of São Paulo) (2002). She is currently an Associate and Full Professor at the Universidade de Pernambuco - UPE, a collaborating researcher at the Department of Genetics at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco and at the Centro de Transplante de Medula Óssea (Bone Marrow Transplant Center) - Molecular Biology Laboratory – Instituto Nacional do Câncer (National Cancer Institute) and is responsible for the Laboratory of Diagnosis and Research in Childhood Cancer and Non-Communicable Chronic Diseases.

Prof. Dr. Patrícia Muniz Mendes Freire de Moura

Associate Professor at the Universidade de Pernambuco (UPE) and Doctor of Science in Biotechnology. Master's degree in Microbiology from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro( Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) (UFRJ). Post-doctorate from the Aix-Marseille University, France on epigenetics of hepatocellular carcinoma (2013-2014). She is also responsible for the development of the website “immunomaniax” to disseminate information about immunology to the general public.
